Grigg Named Academic All-MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference released its 2009 Academic All-MAC Women's Gymnastics team today, April 15, and Eastern Michigan University junior gymnast Erin Grigg (North Bay, Ontario-Widdifield) was named to the team for the first time in her career.

Grigg, a 3.97 GPA in exercise science, was named the MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week twice this season, Jan. 29 and March 2.

Grigg finished the season ranked No. 13 in the Central Region among all-around performers, posting a season-best 39.075 at Northern Illinois University, Jan. 25. Grigg posted a career-best 9.900 in the floor exercise at the Eagle Invitational, March 7.
