Swimmer Alissa Ricard Closes Out Career at NCAA Meet

Senior swimmer finishes 31st at NCAA Championship
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Senior swimmer Alissa Ricard (Tucson, Ariz.-Catalina Foothills) closed out her Eastern Michigan collegiate career at the NCAA Championship meet, swimming the 200 freestyle for the Eagles.
Ricard hit the wall in 1:46.81, giving her a 31st place showing. Her fastest time came earlier this season at the Mid-American Conference Championship meet, when she finished in 1:46.23.
Ricard was selected first team All-MAC for the second consecutive year, as well as earning Academic All-MAC honors.
Her appearance marks the second consecutive year that the Eagles have been represented at the meet. Last year, Madeleine Pilchard led EMU to a 38th place finish, placing 11th in the 200 free and 13th in the 100 free.
