EAGLES TO CLASH WITH CARDINALS AND REDHAWKS: The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will look to bounce back from its losses against Western Michigan and Toledo when they host Ball State University and Miami University Friday and Saturday, April 4-5. Both matches are set for a 1 p.m. start.

SCOUTING THE CARDS: The Cardinals, of head coach Kathy Bull, enter this weekend's match with an 8-6 overall record and 1-2 Mid-American Conference mark. In their most recent match, the Cards narrowly defeated the University of Akron, 4-3, March 29, in MAC action. Ball State lost the doubles point but came back and won four singles matches for the win.

SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS: The RedHawks, of first-year head coach Howard Joffe, enter Saturday's match with an overall record of 9-5 and a 3-0 MAC mark. In their most recent outing, Miami defeated the University at Buffalo, 5-2, March 29. Anastasia Dracheva, at the No.1 singles is perfect on the season with 10 wins. The RedHawks have also seen success at the second spot, as Brittany Larson has a 8-2 ,mark and is 9-5 overall.

ROCKETS BEAT EAGLES: The Eagles lost a 5-2 decision at Toledo (March 28). The Eagles recorded two singles wins in the team loss. Vanessa Frankowski was victorious at the No. 1 singles spot, defeating Martina Wodzinski in a three set thriller on a tiebreaker, 6-1, 4-6, 10-8. Tina Bestehorn recorded the second victory for the Green and White, winning the No. 4 flight, defeating Jenny Belsky in two sets, 6-2, 6-2.

BUCKED BY BRONCOS: The Eagles dropped a 5-2 decision to Western Michigan (March 22). EMU lost all three doubles matches and the first three singles contests before Aleksandra Stankovic came through with a win a the No. 5 spot. She defeated Ashley Moccia in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. At the No. 4 singles spot, Tina Bestehorn came back from a first-set loss to claim the victory in a three-set thriller, defeating Emily Dudzik, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4.

EAGLES END NO. 56 FALCONS' WINNING STREAK: The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team ended its four-match losing streak March 21 at the Chippewa Racquet Club in a Mid-American Conference match against No. 56 ranked Bowling Green State University. The Eagles took four of six singles matches to claim a 4-3 victory over the visiting Falcons.

FRANKOWSKI, MAC POW, PART DEUX: Senior Vanessa Frankowski earned her fourth career Mid-American Conference Player of the Week nod March 19. Frankowski was a perfect 2-0 in singles and doubles play, March 12, against instate rival and Big 10 Conference foe Michigan State University. At the No. 1 singles spot, she defeated Christine Bader in two sets, 6-3, 6-4. At No. 1 doubles, she teamed up with Tina Bestehorn to defeat Bader and Whitney Wilson by a score of 8-7.
