Dusty May is in his first season as an assistant basketball coach at Eastern Michigan University. He was named to the post, March 30, 2005.

May joins the EMU staff after spending the past three seasons working on the men’s basketball staff at Indiana University. He was the administrative assistant for the Hoosiers last year and was the video coordinator for the previous two seasons. During his three years on the Indiana coaching staff, May helped recruit one of the nation’s top classes the past two seasons. His duties included recruiting, coordinating all on-campus recruiting, and serving as the team’s compliance liaison and director of camps.

The 28-year-old May (12-30-76) is a 2000 graduate of Indiana University where he spent four years as a student manager for the men’s basketball team. During his undergraduate days, May assisted with the program’s video coordination and also helped with summer camps.

After graduating from Indiana, May left Bloomington to become an administrative assistant/video coordinator for the men’s basketball program at the University of Southern California. While at USC, May was responsible for the video breakdown of opponent’s film, served as director of summer camps, and helped coordinate the day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball office. He also helped supervise support staff, managers, and office workers.

May and his wife, Anna (Nonte), have two sons, Jack (1-30-03), and Charlie (9-18-04).
